BBW Pin-up art

Thanks to April for the heads up on this awesome artist who does pin-up art of beautiful fat ladies.
You can go here to see his gallery of lovely ladies. And, if you want a portrait of yourself done, he can do it. Portraits start at $395, which I think is an awesome price to pay for a gorgeous pin-up portrait of oneself.
You can see a video of Les Toil's work here.

  1. Wow~ That site is amazing! Thanks for posting that link and giving me the chance to see beautiful women in an empowering way! This site shows real women being sexy, smart, flirtatious, grand, sparkling, and a myriad of other positive adjectives not usually paired with women of size (i.e. real women). What a boost this gave me today! Thanks!

  4. I have seen complaints around the internet that Les Toil's women are all interchangeable and he only goes "so fat." But... I really disagree. Some of the women may look similar, but there is also variety of sizes, shapes and ages (though as the shots are stylized it takes some scrutiny to see that much at times). Heck... there are women there with leg dimples! I have leg dimples! I NEVER see leg dimples in this kinda sexy stuff. I love it!!!

  5. AGR - I've seen the complaints too, and while I can sort of see where they're coming from, if they look at all the pictures in both galleries, they would see that there is a variety of sizes. Some of those sizes look like me, and I'm not a mid-size fattie by any means (my photos in the slideshow here show that).
I really expected to see more complaints from a feminist point of view, saying that those paintings are exploiting women by turning us into sex objects, with the stereotypical schoolgirl uniform, the sexy underwear, and so on. I can see that point of view too, but at the same time, while thin women have been sexually objectified for years upon untold years, fat women have been vilified for those same years and told we're everything bad that exists and no way in hell could anyone find us attractive, let alone sexy. So to find artists that are willing and able to let us be as sexy as we can be, and to portray that, is refreshing. I've been fat for years, and am tired of people looking at me with disgust until they find out I actually have a mind and know how to use it, that I have a wicked sense of humor (and know how to use it), that I can be a compassionate person, that I can be a bitch on wheels if my family/friends are threatened in any way. Then they see me as a worthwhile person, and not simply as some out-of-control food junkie who has no value in the world.

  6. I don't know how I feel about this. To an extent, they just look like bigger thin girls-- perfectly proportioned with suprisingly smooth stomachs. I like the idea behind them, but I don't really like them. I mean, not every big girl has D breasts. Some of us are only A-cups. And again, I'm not sure if that's his styling, or if he hasn't had any big girls with As model for him yet.

  7. baptisee-du-feu - Yeah, I see your point. I had a friend in Illinois who was about my size, but she wore a b-cup (she was the typical pear shape - large hips, smaller waist/shoulders/bust). So it would be interesting to see how he would portray someone with that body-type.

  8. Les Toil and his ladies are fabulous. I wish I could afford one of his portraits.
